Position: Sous Chef

Location: Doris Metropolitan, Houston, TX

We’re seeking a skilled **Sous Chef** to help maintain our high culinary standards and continue creating extraordinary dishes that wow our guests.

Job Description: 
As a Sous Chef, you’ll be the backbone of our kitchen team, supporting the Chef de Cuisine in all aspects of kitchen operations. From overseeing food preparation to managing kitchen staff, your leadership will help maintain the high standards of Doris Metropolitan’s cuisine. If you have a passion for premium cuts of meat, a love for fine dining, and a desire to be part of an exceptional culinary team, this is the opportunity for you.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chef de Cuisine in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production and presentation.
- Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and cleanliness during service.
- Assist in the creation of new menu items and work closely with the Chef to maintain Doris Metropolitan’s culinary standards.
- Ensure proper inventory management, ordering, and storage of ingredients.
- Monitor food safety and sanitation standards, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Step in as the leader during the absence of the Chef de Cuisine.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef, Line Cook, or similar role in a high-end restaurant or steakhouse.
- Strong knowledge of meat preparation and high-quality cuts of steak.
- Leadership skills and the ability to motivate and mentor a culinary team.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for fine dining, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional guest experience.
