Duties/ Responsibilities: 


  •   Oversee kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations. 

  •  Assist in preparing and cooking.

  •  Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest quality and presentation standards. 

  •  Develop and test new recipes. 

  •  Monitor food standards, hygiene, and sanitation. 

  •  Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations (e.g., HACCP). 

  •  Check the freshness and quality of ingredients. 

  •  Assist in managing inventory levels and placing orders. 

  •  Minimize food waste and control portion sizes.

  •  Conduct regular stock checks and rotate stock as needed. 

  •  Train new kitchen staff and help develop existing team members. 

  •  Foster teamwork and maintain high morale in the kitchen. 

  •  Enforce kitchen discipline and manage conflicts. 

  •  Contribute ideas to menu development.  

  •  Work with the Executive Chef to create seasonal or special menus.
