OVERVIEW:
An internationally acclaimed chef is seeking an Sous Chef for his fine dining restaurant located in a luxury hotel in Downtown Boston. The Sous Chef is responsible for supervision of the kitchen staff as well as creating and fostering a sanitary, productive, and team-oriented work environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Provides high levels of fast, friendly, professional, and responsive service to the team and guests.
Maintains extensive knowledge of all food and beverage products according to the brand standard and upholds service priorities including safety, cleanliness, quality, and speed.
Maintains compliance with companys Team Member handbook, and training manuals following all safety precautions.
Ensures that employees have required certification.
Embodies the companys values of Excellence, Integrity, Hard Work, and Family Values ensuring a work environment based upon hospitality and service excellence.
Ensures sufficient staffing of all back of house areas.
Develops standards and controls for daily inventory and ordering.
Maintains daily, weekly, and monthly par levels.
REQUIREMENTS:
We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef or kitchen manager. Candidates must:
Possesses excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
Excellence oriented with superior culinary skills in a fine dining, high volume environment.
Requires schedule flexibility which will include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must present a neat, professional, and polished appearance.
