South Union Distribution Center (Woodburn, KY) - Laborer/Operator

Accountability:

• Assists with the loading and unloading of freight.

Responsibilities:

• Securing coils in boxcars.


• Using the Holland Load Snugger System in conjunction with Carolina Strap Method #1 and Cord Strap Method #1.


• Assisting with loading and unloading of shuttle train from Logan.


• Assisting with loading and unloading truck freight. 


• Must be flexible to work as needed to serve the customer's needs.

Specialized or Technical Knowledge, or Education and Experience:

• Previous warehouse experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Requires constant standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, and balancing in a safe manner. 


• Requires occasional stooping, kneeling, and crouching. 


• Able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 30 lbs. 


• Requires frequent twisting while operating equipment, especially forklift. 

Environmental Conditions:

• Performs duties in a warehouse environment.

Major or Unusual Problems:

• Rapidly expanding company is increasing the workload and therefore the ability to produce sufficient volume of work while maintaining accuracy is a must.

Job Dimensions:

• Performs duties under direct supervision.
