We are seeking a passionate and experienced Spa Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead the front desk, spa attendants, and service providers while helping to ensure a relaxing and seamless experience for every guest. This role plays a key part in driving service excellence, supporting staff development, and contributing to the overall success of the spa through thoughtful planning and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- In the absence of the Spa Director, assume direct responsibility for spa reception, spa attendants, and service providers.
- Partner with the Spa Director to control staffing levels and compensation programs through strategic planning and market analysis.
- Proactively develop recruitment strategies and activate them at the appropriate time.
- Manage direct reports who oversee all customer service, spa attendants, and service providers. Hold one-on-ones to provide guidance on decision-making.
- Develop, implement, and maintain operational procedures with guidance from the Spa Director.
- Ensure direct reports communicate and follow through on necessary objectives.
- Partner with the Spa Director and accounting to recommend systems design and redesign to ensure operational consistency and efficiency.
- Track and assess managerial and cleaning staff schedules and vacation time to maximize service, sales, and cleanliness based on the time of year.
- Support, implement, and manage day-to-day functions, including purchasing, display, inventory control, and sales management of retail lines and initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
- At least four years of experience in management required.
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Must routinely meet deadlines.
- Must be able to multitask effectively.
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
- Must have the ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc., from disparate sources and consider, adjust, or modify it to meet the constraints of the particular need.
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests.
- Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, as well as basic arithmetic functions.
