SSI is seeking a Space Intelligence Analyst to provide expertise to our Customer in Chantilly, VA. This position requires experience in the space domain and involves assessing foreign space capabilities, monitoring emerging threats, and producing actionable recommendations for senior National Security stakeholders. The ideal candidate will fuse technical and all-source intelligence to support space situational awareness, counterspace assessments, and operational planning. This role requires strong analytical tradecraft, familiarity with satellite systems and orbital behaviors, and experience working across the Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD).
Specific Duties May Include, but Not Limited to the Following:
· Employ critical thinking and structured analysis—including frameworks such as Analysis of Competing Hypotheses (ACH), link assessments, and threat modeling—to assess intelligence data relevant to the space domain.
· Fuse all-source intelligence to develop a comprehensive understanding of foreign space capabilities, threats, and intent.
· Analyze foreign space assets, counterspace threats, and adversary doctrine to support space situational awareness, threat assessments, and mission planning.
· Assess risk and identify vulnerabilities within existing space architectures to enhance situational awareness and inform mitigation strategies.
· Support the Customer in assessing resilience-related technology gaps and recommending solutions for integration into the existing architecture.
· Research and recommend emerging technologies for integration into space systems, advancing capabilities and enhancing mission success.
· Prepare high-impact written products and briefings that clearly communicate intelligence findings and analytic conclusions to senior leadership.
· Identify collection gaps and support the development of collection strategies in coordination with intelligence community stakeholders.
· Collaborate regularly with IC, DoD, and allied partners to align analytical efforts and share actionable insights.
· Monitor and interpret developments in space policy, treaties, and international norms to assess implications for U.S. national security interests.
