Terra San Francisco School is a pioneering Preschool–8th grade program rooted in multilingual (Spanish and Mandarin) immersion, nature-based learning, and the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework. • Trilingual Immersion: Students learn in English, Spanish, and Mandarin—developing global awareness, cognitive flexibility, and empathy.


• Nature-Based Learning: Each week, students and teachers spend a full day outdoors guided by expert Nature Educators, deepening their connection to the environment and their own sense of wonder.


• Project-Based Learning: Our curriculum is anchored in inquiry and real-world relevance. Students explore academic concepts through hands-on, interdisciplinary projects that foster critical thinking, collaboration, and creative problem-solving. In our Preschool, this approach evolves into a Reggio Emilia-inspired model, where young learners’ interests guide emergent curriculum experiences that nurture curiosity and agency.


• International Baccalaureate (IB): Our curriculum progressively aligns with IB standards to foster globally minded, reflective learners.

Responsibilities:

• Embody and uphold the school’s mission and core values


• Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with grade-level benchmarks


• Create a warm, inclusive classroom environment that supports both academic and social-emotional growth


• Collaborate closely with co-teachers, specialists, and administrators


• Communicate clearly and compassionately with families and colleagues


• Participate in school-wide events, professional development, and reflection practices


• Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and a spirit of openness and respect

Required:

• A passion for working with children and a belief in their potential


• Strong collaboration and communication skills


• A growth mindset and commitment to continuous learning


• A positive, flexible attitude and a sense of humor

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, English, Spanish or a related field


• Multiple Subject Teaching Credential


• 2–7 years of relevant grade-level teaching experience


• Training in Project-Based Learning, Responsive Classroom, or child-led curriculum models


• Experience in differentiated instruction, phonics, and performance-based assessments
