Spanish Teacher

Meadowbrook Academy is currently seeking to hire a full-time Spanish Teacher for the 25/25 school year. This individual should be an active and dedicated Christian who is, or willing to become, a member of Meadowbrook Church.  A person who will hold in confidence matters of information that may be sensitive to the well-being of others. A person committed to excellence in their responsibilities. Below you will find a general description of the position. 

QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited educational institution.  


• Certified OR working towards certification by the State of Florida.

  Effectively assess levels of student achievement, analyze test results, and prescribe actions for improvement.

  Maintained, appropriate student supervision so that students have a safe and orderly environment in which to learn.


• 
  Work effectively with peers, administrators, and others

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:  

• Knowledge of child growth and development, especially of characteristics of children in the age group assigned.  


• Knowledge of current educational research in teaching a second language.  


• Basic understanding and knowledge of current technology (Newline Smartboard).  


• Knowledge of learning styles and skill in using varied teaching methods to address student learning styles. 


• Skill in oral and written communication with students, parents, and others.  


• Ability to plan and implement activities for maximum effectiveness.  


• Ability to effectively assess levels of student achievement, analyze test results, and prescribe actions for improvement.  


• Ability to maintain appropriate student supervision so that students have a safe and orderly environment in which to learn.  


• Ability to work effectively with peers, administrators, and others.
