About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in La Quinta, CA

Details:

• In-Person Tutoring in La Quinta, CA
• Schedule: 25 hours, 5x a week for 1 hour
• Pay range is between $25 and $35

Ideal Candidate:

• Fluent in both Spanish and English to support communication and family engagement.
• Experience working with students with autism, cerebral palsy, or other physical/developmental challenges.
• Skilled in using augmentative communication devices (e.g., Tobii Dynavox) or willing to learn.
• Patient, empathetic, and creative in adapting instruction to individual needs.
• Knowledgeable in executive functioning, social-emotional learning, and multi-sensory instructional strategies.
• Ability to create engaging, interactive lessons that incorporate music, movement, and interests such as superheroes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support foundational life skills, communication, and participation using adaptive tools and assistive technology.
• Reinforce executive functioning skills, social-emotional learning, and engagement in structured activities.
• Develop individualized lesson plans aligned with the student’s abilities and custom objectives.
• Integrate interactive, sensory, and arts-based strategies to maintain focus and motivation.
• Collaborate with caregivers to ensure consistency and monitor progress.
• Provide a safe, inclusive, and patient learning environment tailored to the student’s physical and cognitive needs.
