1. Performs Neuro IR procedures of diagnostic quality as ordered by the referring physician and/or radiologist on patients of all ages according to established protocols. 2. Obtains clinical history and data for correlation with the IR procedure. 3. Implements screening and safety measures in accordance with prescribed IR policies / procedures. Performs daily and weekly QC as required. 4. Prepares and administers contrast media by injection to the patient according to policy. Practices sterile techniques. 5. Assists Radiologist in interventional radiology procedures and in performing medical treatment during emergency situations. 6. Coordinates patient care with other areas in order to optimize patient time and satisfaction 7. Assesses learning needs and educates patients/families regarding procedures based on individual needs. Type of degree: Allied Health Area of study or major: Radiologic Technology ARRT RT (R) registry required ODH licensure required Experience Required: 1 - 3 years of job-related experience Prior job title or occupational experience: Radiologic Technologist Human anatomy Proficient in Neuro Interventional Procedures Proficient in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Proficient in Radiology Information System (RIS) and Image Storage Radiation Safety
