Goodwill Kentucky is looking for an energetic, self-motivated, detail-oriented Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Specialist to join our team! Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Specialist is responsible for driving effective and efficient recruitment for Goodwill Kentucky, while offering effective onboarding for new hires. This position manages the full life cycle of recruitment activities and acts as an ambassador for Goodwill and our employment brand. Job Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Essential Duties and Tasks:
Gathers job posting requests from hiring managers and verifying that the appropriate approvals have been granted.
Posts job openings internally and externally.
Reviews applications and conducts phone screens for candidates that meet qualifications.
Coordinates interviews and provides interview packets for interview preparation.
Creates and maintains interview question guides for all open positions.
Relationship management to include advisement, coaching, influencing, and training related to staffing.
Builds and manages the talent pool, including job fairs, campus visits and/or other community recruitment events.
Maintains an organized and accurate record of recruitment activities in applicant tracking system.
Administers and tracks pre-employment checks and assessments (background, credit, drug, and skills related).
Create, organize, plan, and present various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees. Monitor compliance with onboarding requirements and timelines. Update and maintain onboarding materials to keep them current and relevant. These programs may be conducted in-person, online, or virtually based on the organization’s needs.
Collaborate with Goodwill Industries International (GII) and other Goodwill organizations in the creation of learning and development programs.
Participates in Talent Development planning and execution of development programs.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Must possess versatility, discretion, and good interpersonal skills with ability to work with a variety of diverse people.
Demonstrated experience in facilitating learning and development sessions and workshops.

Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Willingness to travel to other locations up to 40% of the time, the position may also require overnight stays occasionally.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work, proof of insurance, a valid driver’s license in the state of residence, and an acceptable driving record.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or related field preferred; commensurate experience considered.
Minimum of three (3) years related recruitment and/or talent development experience, preferred.
Must have proven track record of recruiting in a fast-growing organization.
Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System, preferred
Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or disadvantages preferred.
Must have or be able to become certified in First Aid and CPR.
Must have strong skills in candidate pipeline generation and use of social media tools.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Physical Demands:
This job may have physical requirements that is considered sedentary. Sedentary work involves sitting for prolonged periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing, and visual acuity and occasional lifting up to 10 pounds.
Travel to multiple locations across the entire state beyond the assigned work location is occasionally required
