Special Access Program (SAP) Security Specialist (TS/SCI) Location: Springfield, VA (NGA Washington) Salary: $83,000

The "Security Specialist - Special Access Programs" is key to protecting NGA’s SAP and CAP programs, bringing expertise in program protection, classification, and ICD 705. Familiarity with Co-Use agreements, site assessments, and physical security for high-security areas are essential.
This vital role will also help manage a newly integrated SAP, ensuring its security and smooth operation, with a strong understanding of the IC906 framework. Additionally, hands-on experience with vetting, clearance checks, SMS/CAC systems, and real-time enforcement of security policy is critical to success in this position.

REQUIREMENTS:
Active TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor’s degree +7 years of experience OR 11 years of experience in a related field including:
At least 3 years supporting DoD or IC security programs
At least 2 years of experience with Security Management System (SMS) and Common Access Card (CAC) systems
Proven experience in supporting SAP and CAP programs, with a working knowledge of ICD 705, Co-Use agreements, classification management, and program protection in alignment with DoD and IC security standards.
Demonstrated knowledge in one or more security domain: personnel, physical, industrial, investigations, classification management, security education, or operational security
Proven ability to apply DoD security practices and tools (e.g., SMS, CAC) in real-world mission environments
Must obtain the DoD Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification per DoD Manual 3305.13M within 12 months of hire
