We seek ten (10) Tier 3 or Tier 4 special education teachers for one of our partner districts in Minnesota. The teacher is responsible for implementing the individual education programs and evaluating student progress for students in special education. Assesses special needs of individual students and collaborates with staff in meeting those needs.

In this role, you will work as an employee of Teachers On Demand, INC. Depending on your performance, the district may offer you a full-time role as a district employee.

(1) - Middle school ASD Center-based teacher

(1) - Middle school EBD Center-based teacher

(2) - Elementary DCD Center-based teachers

(2) - Elementary ASD Center-based teachers

Must possess:

• Valid K-12 Tier 3 or Tier 4 SPED Teaching License in the state of Minnesota

1. Maintains appropriate student records.
2. Provides instructions to classroom and 1-1 paraprofessionals and engenders a team atmosphere.
3. Motivates students through positive feedback based upon their i.e.p.s and school-wide PBIS, if appropriate.
4. Participates in district and school committees.
5. Maintains a clean, attractive and safe learning environment.
6. Maintains positive relationships and works with parents to achieve student objectives.
7. Attends meetings as required.
8. Supervises pupils in out-of-classroom activities during the assigned work day.
9. Participates in curriculum and other developmental programs.
10. Participates in faculty committees and the sponsorship of student activities.
11. Maintains professional competence through in-service education activities provided by the district and in self-selected professional growth activities.

Compensation:

$45.00 - $50.00 per hour
