Special Education Academic Tutor - Middle School

About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Details:

• In-Person Tutoring in Rancho Cucamonga, CA
• Schedule: 15 hours, 2 sessions a week for 1.75 hours up to 2 hours
• Pay range is between $25 and $35

Ideal Candidate:

• Experienced tutor comfortable working with middle school students with autism and complex learning profiles.
• Skilled in teaching math concepts and skills, supporting written expression, and strengthening executive functioning (organization, task initiation, follow-through).
• Patient, kind, and encouraging, with the ability to maintain structure while supporting focus and engagement.
• Comfortable following and implementing curriculum provided by the family.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized 1:1 instruction focused on math concepts and skills.
• Support writing development, including organizing ideas, sentence structure, and written expression.
• Build executive functioning skills such as organization, planning, task completion, and sustained attention.
• Implement and reinforce curriculum and materials provided by the family.
• Maintain a calm, supportive learning environment that encourages confidence and persistence.
• Provide informal feedback and progress updates to the family as needed.
