Special Education Teacher - Travel Position  

Location: Federal Way, WA 

Job Type: Travel Contract   

Duration: 41 weeks  

Shift: 5x8s Days 

Pay: $2568/week  

Job Description:  

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs. The teacher will create and implement individualized education programs (IEPs), adapt curriculum, and foster a supportive classroom environment that promotes student growth and success. The ideal candidate is patient, flexible, and committed to inclusive education. 

Key Responsibilities:  

• 
  

  Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). 

  
  

• 
  

  Adapt lessons and teaching strategies to meet students’ unique needs and learning styles. 

  
  

• 
  

  Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure student success. 

  
  

• 
  

  Assess student progress regularly and adjust instruction as needed. 

  
  

• 
  

  Maintain accurate records of student performance and compliance with state/federal regulations. 

  
  

• 
  

  Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment. 

  
  

Qualifications:  

• 
  

  Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education or related field 

  
  

• 
  

  State teaching certification/licensure in Special Education 

  
  

• 
  

  COVID vaccine, TB test 

  
  

• 
  

  Master’s Degree in Special Education (Preferred) 

  
  

• 
  

  Minimum 1-year experience working with students with disabilities
