Special Education Teacher k-2 60 per hour

Boston Speech Therapy is seeking a compassionate and skilled Special Education Teacher for our K-2 classroom. Your primary responsibilities will include creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), utilizing effective teaching strategies tailored to each child's unique learning style, and fostering a nurturing classroom environment.

*Key Responsibilities*

• Design, develop, and implement IEPs for students
• Provide specialized instruction in foundational skills to students with varying abilities
• Conduct ongoing assessments to evaluate student progress
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to enhance the learning experience
• Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and strategies for support

*Qualifications*

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• Valid state license in Special Education
• Experience working with young children with special needs, preferably in K-2 settings
• Strong knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Commitment to the growth and success of all students
