As a Special Education Teacher working in a local school district, you'll be at the heart of a supportive team that creates a structured, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.

What You'll Do As A Special Education Teacher:

• Designing and delivering specialized instruction aligned with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Adapting lesson plans and instructional materials to meet diverse learning needs
• Teaching social and behavioral skills using principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
• Leading IEP development and progress reporting in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Collecting and analyzing data to inform instruction and drive student progress
• Maintaining accurate records and supporting compliance with educational policies

Requirements For Our Special Education Teacher:

• Bachelor's degree in special education or related field
• Valid and active Instructional I or II Special Education Certification
• Successful completion & renewal of emergency prevention & intervention strategies
• Satisfactory completion of all pre-employment requirements and PA Department of Education training
• Experience supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and knowledge of ABA strategies
• Implement, train, and coach other staff on the execution of services, proper crisis prevention, and intervention techniques

• Continuing education certification requirements (Master's degree in Special Education preferred)
• Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Able to learn new tasks quickly and effectively
• Understand and carry out detailed, involved instructions
• Can carry out necessary physical demands - standing, walking, lifting, kneeling throughout the day

• Starting Salary: $54,000/year. Increases with additional education or certification
