Job Summary

We are looking for an energetic teaching assistant to join our team! As a teaching assistant you will support and work with students with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. You will be assisting the head teacher with planning and implementing both whole classroom and small group instruction. We are seeking candidates who are passionate about learning and love working with children. Candidates should able to connect with individual students and develop strong relationships with faculty to create an engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities:

Tutor and assist students individually or in small groups to help them master assignments and to reinforce learning concepts presented by teachers

Supervise students in classrooms, cafeteria, and playground

Provide extra assistance to students with special needs

Observe students’ performance and record relevant data to assess progress

Teach social skills to students

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED

Ability to pass a state and federal background check

High-energy with a love of working with children

Organized and detail-oriented

Compensation: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
