Job Description - Special Inspector

Perform special/progress inspections on current and upcoming projects throughout the NYC metro area, NJ and Westchester.
Must be able to read and understand all construction plans, project schedules and specifications and
perform on-site project inspections to ensure compliance.
Familiarity with the latest construction code-mandated compliance items and industry codes.
Available to attend pre-construction meetings, progress meetings, and partial and final inspections.
Bring all non-conformance items to the immediate attention of the contractors.
Ability to keep tight records and provide inspection reports in a timely manner.
Communicate daily with project managers and other inspectors regarding the project status.
Strong attention to detail
Ability to coordinate/communicate effectively with, contractors, colleagues, clients, and project team regarding construction project activities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to effectively work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Requirements:

Currently certified with all or some of the following:
- ICC/ACI Concrete Inspector
- ICC Masonry Inspector
- ICC Steel Bolting Inspector
- ICC/AWS Steel Welding Inspector
- ICC Mechanical Systems Inspector
- ICC Sprayed Fire Resistant Materials Inspector
