This position requires in-depth knowledge, technical skills, and the ability to analyze and solve complex problems. The Specialist 2 collaborates with cross functional teams to drive project initiatives and processes, contributing to the overall success of the organization.\n\n## MAJOR DUTIES \u0026 RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nList most important duties first \n1\\. Provide subject matter expertise and support in multiple areas of Customer Service, offering guidance and recommendations to team members and stakeholders in the Nutrition Services Department \n2\\. Conduct in-depth research, analysis, and evaluation of data, trends, and industry best practices to support decision-making processes. \n3\\. Support the implementation of strategies, programs, and initiatives to address specific organizational needs \nand objectives \n4\\. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver training solutions in the various assigned area \n5\\. Support the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and guidelines in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry standards \n6\\. Analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and propose innovative solutions to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. \n7\\. Participate in the development and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and evaluate the success of initiatives.\n\n## MAJOR DUTIES \u0026 RESPONSIBILITIES CONTINUED\n\n8\\. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and facilitate the implementation of changes. \n9\\. Assist in the management and execution of projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. \n10\\. Provide expertise in using relevant software applications, tools, and systems to optimize data analysis, reporting, and tracking. \n11\\. Prepare and present reports, presentations, and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders. \n12\\. Stay up to date with emerging trends, technologies, and advancements in the assigned area of expertise \n13\\. Act as a resource person and provide training and guidance to junior team members as needed. \n14\\. Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining effective communication and collaboration \n15\\. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and growth in the assigned area of specialization. \n16\\. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.\n\n## EDUCATION\n\nBachelor\u0027s degree preferred additional certifications or relevant training is a plus\n\n## WORK EXPERIENCE\n\nMinimum of 3 years of experience in a related role or field, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.\n\n## SKILL AND/OR REQUIRED LICENSING/CERTIFICATION\n\nSoftware \nOracle HR / Payroll / Maintenance / Accounts Payable Modules \nSAP \nPrimero Ordering System \nMicrosoft Office \nTime Clock Plus\n\nCertifications/Licensure \nSNA or TASN preferred\n\n## LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nNo supervisory or direct people management responsibilities. May provide occasional work guidance, technical advice, and training to staff.\n\n## WORK COMPLEXITY/INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT\n\nWork involves the application of moderately complex procedures and tasks that are quite varied. Independent judgment is often required to select and apply the most appropriate of available resources. Ongoing supervision is provided on an \"as needed\" basis\n\n## BUDGET AUTHORITY\n\nNo budget development activity is required.\n\n## PROBLEM SOLVING\n\nDecisions are made on both routine and non-routine matters with some latitude, but are still subject to approval. Job is occasionally expected to recommend new solutions to problems and improve existing methods or generate new ideas\n\n## IMPACT OF DECISIONS\n\nFollows rules and procedures. Decisions can have minimal or no impact to HISD. Errors can be readily detected, usually by the employee, and, if made, would result in minor expense for correction\n\n## COMMUNICATION/INTERACTIONS\n\nInformation sharing - gives and receives information such as options, technical direction, instructions and reporting results. Interactions are mostly with customers, own supervisor and coworkers in own and other departments.\n\n## CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS\n\nFollows through with customer inquiries, requests and complaints. Forwards difficult and non-routine inquiries or requests to appropriate level for resolution.\n\n## WORKING/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS\n\nWork is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements.
