Overview / Job Summary:
WSU Tech is seeking a Specialist, Open Education Development to design and develop engaging curricula that align with open education practices and support the college’s mission. This role focuses on building high-quality learning materials, collaborating with faculty and staff, and incorporating innovative instructional technologies.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to:

• Design course content and learning materials that align with open education practices, WSU Tech standards, and accessibility guidelines.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, faculty, and IT teams to integrate effective teaching strategies and instructional technologies.
• Support Open Education initiatives through workshops, trainings, website updates, and enrollment/data management.
• Monitor outcomes and analyze key metrics to improve teaching and learning effectiveness.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.

Experience, Knowledge & Skills Needed:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in instructional design, training, or curriculum development.
• Teaching or training experience required; background in aviation or manufacturing preferred.
• Strong project management, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work independently.
