Specialty Instructor- Spanish

The Twin Lakes Family YMCA in Cedar Park, TX is now accepting applications for energetic, dependable and engaging individuals to work as a Spanish Specialty Instructor in our ChildWatch Department. This role is perfect for individuals who love working with kids and are passionate about sharing Spanish language and culture in a fun, fast-paced, and family-oriented environment.

We are offering $250 bonus for new staff!

As a Spanish Specialty Instructor, you will lead engaging, age-appropriate classes for children ages 4 through adult. You’ll play a key role in fostering language skills while creating a welcoming and positive classroom experience. Candidates must be comfortable working with children and families and have excellent communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead at least one Spanish language class per week


• Greet and assist members and participants with professionalism and enthusiasm


• Provide outstanding customer service and classroom management


• Deliver age-appropriate, interactive, and culturally rich activities


• Support other ChildWatch programs as needed


• Maintain a clean, safe, and engaging learning environment


• Collaborate with team members and leadership to ensure a high-quality experience for all families

Schedule & Availability:

• One class per week required


• Available between 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday (day may vary depending on availability)


• Hours may vary depending on class enrollment


• Punctuality, reliability, and a positive attitude are essential

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred


• Fluent in Spanish (required)


• At least one year of teaching or specialty instruction experience preferred


• Must be at least 17 years old (18+ preferred)


• Experience working with children (ages 4 and up)


• Strong organizational and communication skills


• Ability to multitask in a dynamic setting


• Must pass background check, reference checks, sex offender screening, and pre-employment drug screening

Bonus Skills (Preferred, not required):

• Ability to teach or willingness to learn cooking, sewing, crafts, or painting to enhance class offerings

Pay Rate: $15.00 to $19.00/hour
