Specialty Service Line Manager We are seeking an experienced and motivated Specialty Service Line Manager to provider operational leadership and oversight for specialty physician practices. This position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of assigned practices while partnering with physicians, advanced practice providers, practice leadership, and organizational departments to promote efficient operations, exceptional patient care, and a positive work environment. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with healthcare management experience who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-site environment and building collaborative relationships with providers and staff. Key Responsibilities:
- Provider operational oversight and leadership for assigned specialty physician practices and locations.
- Support practice managers, providers, and staff with day-to-day operational needs and problem resolution.
- Monitor practice performance workflows, staffing, productivity and patient access.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, patient experience, and overall practice performance.
- Partner with physicians and advanced practice providers to address operational concerns and support practice growth.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management and development of practice leadership and staff.
- Ensure practices operate in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and established standards.
- Collaborates with Human Resources, Finance, Revenue Cycle, Quality, IT, Clinical Operations, and other departments to support practice needs and organizational initiatives.
- Review operational and financial performance indicators and assist in developing action plans when opportunities for improvement are identified.
- Support implementation of new providers, services, workflows, and practice locations.
- Promote effective communication and consistency across all assigned practices.
- Serve as a resource and escalation point for operational issues involving patients, providers and staff.
- Participates in organizational initiatives and special projects as assigned.
- Maintain a visible presence within assigned practices and develop a strong working relationship with providers and team members.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing or related field.
- Equivalent healthcare leadership experience may be considered
- Previous healthcare management or physician practice management experience strongly preferred.
- Experience overseeing specialty or mult-site physician practice is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership with the ability to coach, develop and hold team members accountable
- Strong understanding of physician practice operations, patient flow, staffing and healthcare workflows.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with physicians, advanced practice providers, clinical staff, and administrative teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and locations in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to review operational and financial data and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and standard business applications.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and sound judgement when handling sensitive employee, provider, and patient matters.
- Ability to travel between local clinic locations as needed to maintain effective operational oversight and foster strong working relationships with providers and staff.
Schedule and Employee Status:
- Full Time
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Some flexibility may be required based upon operational and practice needs.
