LBS1 Specialist – Full-Time Position for 2025–2026 School Year

Join a student-centered educational team committed to inclusive learning! We’re hiring a dedicated and licensed Special Education (SPED) professional to support learners with diverse needs for the upcoming academic year. This full-time position will focus on creating structured, engaging, and individualized instruction in a self-contained classroom setting.

Job Snapshot:

Participate in ongoing professional development and school initiatives.

Full-time opportunity for the 2025–2026 school year with potential for extension.

Deliver tailored instruction based on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Collaborate regularly with families, related service providers, and school staff.

Create a nurturing environment that supports academic, emotional, and behavioral development.

Monitor student progress, adapt teaching strategies, and maintain clear, accurate documentation.

Requirements

All candidates must showcase a solid background as a Special Education Teacher or in a similar capacity, with expertise in handling diverse caseloads. A bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution is required, while a master’s degree is highly preferred. To qualify for this position, applicants must hold a current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an LBS1 endorsement in special education, as no other certifications will be accepted.
