Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care
Conduct evaluations and assessments to develop individualized therapy plans.
Implement evidence-based interventions targeting specific communication, language, and developmental goals.
Address speech sound disorders, fluency, voice, language, and pragmatic/social skills.
Collaborate with families to create home programs and ensure carryover of therapeutic activities.
Continuously monitor and document progress toward treatment goals.
Provide augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) assessments and training when appropriate.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration
Participate in team meetings to discuss progress and adapt therapy plans as needed.
Collaborate with therapists, educators, and medical professionals to provide holistic care.
Documentation and Compliance
Complete all documentation accurately and within designated timeframes.
Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations as well as Shine’s internal policies.
Professional Development
Engage in continuing education to stay current with best practices and emerging therapies.
Mentor or supervise therapy assistants, interns, or technicians as needed.

Requirements
Qualifications
Education and Certification:
Speech-Language Pathologist: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology; current licensure in Tennessee.
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Creativity in designing engaging therapy sessions for children.
In-depth knowledge of developmental milestones and evidence-based practices.
Experience:
Preferred: 1+ year of pediatric therapy experience (new graduates welcome to apply).
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Active and engaging therapy setting requiring physical movement and creativity.
Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs as needed for therapeutic interventions.
