Job Description - Speech Language Pathologist

Responsibilities:

  2. Innovative Treatment Plans: Develop creative and personalized treatment plans that focus on enhancing communication skills, turning therapy into an engaging and empowering experience.
  3. Expressive Interventions: Administer therapeutic interventions with a flair for creativity, making communication exercises not only effective but also enjoyable.
  4. Communication Celebrations: Participate in celebrating residents' communication milestones, fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere through shared achievements.
  5. Team Harmony: Work collaboratively with our in-house healthcare team, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, and nursing staff, to create a harmonious approach to care.
  6. Detailed Documentation: Document progress notes with precision and positivity, highlighting the advancements and successes in each resident's communication journey.

Qualifications:

  1. Certified Communication Maestro: Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a vibrant and compassionate approach to communication therapy.
  2. Expressive Expertise: Experience in providing speech-language pathology services, with a focus on creating engaging and effective communication interventions.
  3. Creative Communicator: Ability to infuse creativity into therapeutic activities, transforming communication exercises into interactive and enjoyable experiences.
  4. Team Collaborator: Collaborate seamlessly with our in-house multidisciplinary team, contributing your expertise to create an uplifting therapy environment.
  5. Communication Maestro: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to ensure effective collaboration and support.

Requirements

Qualifications

Education:  

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology required.

Licenses/Certification:

  • Current license in Speech Language Therapy as required by state law.
  • Valid CPR certification required.

Experience:

Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
