Job Description - Speech Language Pathologist

About Us

About us: Join our collaborative team of speech and language pathologists and behavior analysts! AB Spectrum provides a unique play-based approach to therapy with special visits from music intervention specialists, pet interactions, and other collaborations to enhance our Therapy Through Play model! Our clinic setting considers the principles of Reggio Emilia by devising a naturalistic and child-led learning environment to support each individual through a variety of learning opportunities.

We are currently hiring for our early intervention clinic in Florissant. Clients attend therapy from 7:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. No nights, weekends, or traveling to client homes required!

Salary

$60,000 - Clinical Fellow

$70,000 - Licensed SLP

Job Requirements

  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist MO License
  • Ability to develop strong, professional relationships

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide direction, instruction, and support to clients and family members during regularly scheduled sessions.
  • Work in effective collaboration with ABSpectrum’s clinical team.
  • Effectively manage caseloads, prepare and submit all required documentation promptly to the Director/Owner and insurance companies.
  • Ensure that all treatment methodologies are evidence-based and reflect the most recent research findings.
  • Train team members on recent research findings or new information received via conference/continuing education opportunities.
  • Create materials to be used for programming and assessment.
  • Conduct assessments to determine the appropriate treatment plan for each student.
  • Develop treatment plans and individualized goals for each student and ensure they are updated at least every three months.
  • Participate in team, staff, and parent meetings when needed.
  • Collaborate with families and staff in the development of language support strategies.
  • Train team members as needed on speech therapy interventions.
  • Give basic training to parents for generalizing language development skills.
