Job Description - Speech Language Pathologist

About the Opportunity

LMK Recruiting, in partnership with our client, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join a child-centered, neurodiversity-affirming practice in Irvine, CA. Our client is committed to celebrating each childs unique communication style and supporting their growth through developmentally appropriate, relationship-driven care.

Position Summary

The Speech-Language Pathologist will conduct evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide engaging therapy services for children with a variety of speech, language, voice, and fluency needs. Youll collaborate closely with families and a multidisciplinary team to ensure strengths-based, affirming, and functional outcomes across daily environments.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments to identify communication strengths and areas of need

  • Create and implement individualized, neurodiversity-affirming therapy plans

  • Deliver play-based, child-led speech-language therapy

  • Partner with caregivers, educators, and related professionals to support generalization of skills

  • Maintain clear, timely, and compliant documentation

  • Provide caregiver education on therapy goals and strategies to use at home

  • Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and professional development opportunities

What You Bring

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

  • Current California SLP license (or eligibility for licensure)

  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for supporting each childs individuality

  • Comfort with flexible, play-based therapy guided by the childs interests

  • Pediatric experience preferred but not required

  • Experience with AAC or apraxia treatment is a plus
