Requirements:

• Must register with the Health Practice Commission of the Cayman Islands  


• Registered SLP with your state, province or country


• Bachelor or Masters degree in Speech-Language Therapy


• Minimum 3 years experience in paediatric clinical setting


• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the program including heavy lifting and bending


• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle


• Criminal records check


• Applicants must be registered or eligible for full registration in Australia, Canada, Jamaica, New Zealand, South Africa, United Kingdom, or the United States of America

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with clients and their families to set SLP goals that have measurable outcomes


• Provide direct service, consultation, mediation and education to client, family and community providers


• Utilize research to establish and support evidence-based practice


• Provision of in-school consultations to parents and/or teachers as and when needed


• Ability to facilitate group sessions


• Manage a caseload of approximately 25 direct therapy sessions (60 minute sessions) per week


• Provide a minimum of 2 presentations to the community per calendar year.

Hours

• 8:00-5:00pm Monday- Friday schedule

Contract Length

• 2.5 years (30 months)

Salary

$65,000.00 KYD per year ($5416.67 KYD per month)

*The Cayman Islands is a Tax Free jurisdiction

Pension

5% contribution from employer + 5% contribution from employee

Health

$100 monthly towards health plan of choice or 50% of basic health plan.

Gas Mileage

$70CI/ month (when more than 12 out of clinic visits).

Phone

$20CI/month towards phone credit.

Relocation Flight

Up to $1000usd for initial flight to Grand Cayman- if contract is terminated early relocation flight cost will be deducted from last payslip.

Vacation

2 weeks paid vacation + 2 weeks unpaid vacation

Public Holidays

11 paid public holidays per year

Sick Days

As per the Cayman Islands Labour Law: 10 sick days per year
