Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience evaluating and treating a broad range of pediatric communication disorders, including speech production, language, fluency, cognition, voice, and social communication. Experience or interest in pediatric feeding and swallowing is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
Provide evidence-based intervention for a variety of pediatric communication disorders, including:
Articulation and phonological disorders
Expressive/receptive language delays and disorders
Fluency disorders
Voice/resonance disorders
Cognitive-communication challenges
Social communication/pragmatic language differences
Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) assessment/intervention, as appropriate
Evaluate and/or treat pediatric feeding and swallowing concerns (if experienced/interested)
Collaborate closely with caregivers, occupational therapists, physical therapists, educators, physicians, and other care team members
Provide caregiver education, home programming, and strategies to support generalization of skills
Maintain timely, accurate documentation in accordance with clinic and regulatory standards
Participate in team meetings, interdisciplinary collaboration, case consultation, and professional development opportunities
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Current Texas licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (CF candidates may be considered, if applicable)
Experience evaluating and treating pediatric communication disorders across a range of diagnoses and developmental profiles
Knowledge of evidence-based practices related to speech, language, fluency, voice, cognition, and social communication
Experience with AAC assessment/intervention preferred
Experience or continuing education in pediatric feeding/swallowing/dysphagia is a plus
Strong interpersonal, communication, clinical reasoning, and problem-solving skills
