Job Description - Speech Language Pathologist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team on a part-time basis. This role focuses on evaluating, diagnosing, and treating individuals with communication, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders. The ideal candidate is patient-centered, collaborative, and committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

·      None.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

·      Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders

·      Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals

·      Provide therapy services to pediatric and/or adult patients (depending on setting)

·      Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress notes in a timely and compliant manner

·      Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans and strategies for carryover

·      Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (PT, OT, physicians, educators, etc.)

·      Maintain compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations and ethical standards

Required Skills/Abilities:

·      Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

·      Current state licensure (or license‑eligible) as a Speech-Language Pathologist

·      Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) preferred

·      Experience in [outpatient / school / home health / SNF] setting preferred but not required

·      Strong communication, organizational, and time‑management skills

·      Passion for patient care and clinical excellence

 

Physical Requirements:

·      Ability to lift, assist, and transfer patients as required

·      Prolonged standing, walking, and manual therapy activities

·      Ability to demonstrate therapeutic exercises and techniques
