Job Description - Speech Pathologist

Description

Aspire Behavioral Health is looking for a full-time Speech Language Pathologist. As a SLP at our facility, we work in conjunction with other providers at the facility such as occupational therapist, counselors, behavioral analysts and registered line technicians for optimal child development. Our mission is to provide high-quality, evidence-based assessments and interventions to children, adolescents, and their families to improve social, emotional, behavioral, and academic functioning. We believe every child should be provided with the relationships, environment, and opportunities to allow them to realize their full potential. We understand children have unique developmental paths and we strive to meet them at their current level of functioning as we work toward achieving the best outcomes.

Speech Pathologist Job Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication difficulties.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment programs.
  • Establish patient understanding, expectations, and goals for treatment.
  • Create accurate documentation and reporting for all patient visits.
  • Maintain communication with staff and outside agencies.
  • Refer patients to medical specialists when necessary.
  • Collaboration with other healthcare professionals and educators.

Requirements

Speech Pathologist Qualifications / Skills:

  • Familiarity with a variety of speech and cognitive disorders
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Ability to comply with all ethical and regulatory standards
  • Passion for working with children with developmental delays

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Masters degree in speech language pathology or related field
  • 1-3 years speech language pathology experience
  • Active state SLP license
  • ASHA certification preferred
  • Clinical Fellows also considered
