Upper Valley Medical Center\n\nSpeech Pathologist (PRN)\n\n * PRN (8:00-4:30) | schedule varies\n * Inpatient / Acute Care\n\n\n\n \n\nSummary\n\nThe Speech-Language Pathologist assumes a dynamic leadership role on the interdisciplinary patient care teams. This individual identifies patient care needs, develops a plan of care and goals in collaboration with the patient, provides a wide variety of treatment techniques within the scope of practice, provides education and support to patients/families, and facilitates continuing care planning.\n\nThe therapist participates in staff management, cost management, and professional practice activities. The therapist is responsible for demonstrating excellent customer service and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the department.\n\nEducation\n\n * Masters\u2019 degree in Speech-Language Pathology, from an accredited program\n\n\n\n\n \n\nLicensure/Certification/Registration\n\n * Current Speech-Language Pathology license in State of Ohio.\n * Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology.\n * BLS certification required within 30 days of hire\n\n\n\n \n\nExperience\n\n * Minimum Level of Experience Required: No prior job-related work experience\n * Preferred experience: 1-3 years of job-related experience.\n\n\n\n \n\nKnowledge/Skills\n\n * Able to multi-task with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor.\n * Dependable, flexible and adaptable to change.\n * Teamwork oriented. Display tact, diplomacy, and professionalism.\n * Strong analytical and prioritization skills.\n * Strong organizational skills.
