What You’ll Do:

  • Provide individualized, evidence-based evaluation and treatment for adults with neurologic communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
     
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic, patient-centered care
     
  • Utilize advanced diagnostics and tools including FEES and VNG (training available if not yet credentialed)
     
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the growth of the clinic and your career

Requirements

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES - ESSENTIAL: TREATMENTThis list of tasks is illustrative only and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by position.

  1. Evaluate and treat adults with congenital, developmental, and acquired neurologic impairment or disease.
  2. Establish a plan of care based on the examination findings and identified impairments and functional limitations, patient/caregiver goals, and best available evidence.
  3. Execute plan of care through the delivery interventions consistent with current evidence.
  4. Perform regular reassessments of patient progress to determine effectiveness of treatment plan and selected interventions.
  5. Communicate with the patient, caregivers, physician, and interdisciplinary team members regarding patient care and progress toward goals and provide education to the patient, their family members, and caregivers regarding the patient’s condition, home exercise program, and prognosis.
  6. Complete documentation of services provided according to industry standards promptly.
  7. Advocate on behalf of the patient for provision of services and goods that would improve the patient’s function and/or quality of life and reduce burden of care.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  1. Net Promoter Score - 85 or greater
  2. % Arrival - 88% or greater
  3. Visits Per New Patient - 28
  4. Visits Per Clinical Hour - 1.32 or greater 
  5. Procedures Per Visit - 1 or greater 
  6. Procedures Per Clinical Hour - 1.5 or greater

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Graduation with a Master’s degree Speech & Language Pathology
  2. Current CCC-SLP license in the state of Arizona
  3. Current CPR certification

BENEFICIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care which is age specific/appropriate for patients served.
  2. Basic computer knowledge.
  3. Appropriate interpersonal skills to enable positive interactions with patients/families, and other health care professionals.
