Speech Therapist

University Home Care Inc is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our team in Livonia, MI. In this role, you will provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, and swallowing disorders to patients in a supportive home care environment. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans that promote patient communication and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech and language evaluations for patients of varying ages and conditions.


• Develop and implement tailored therapy plans to address communication and swallowing challenges.


• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.


• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.


• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and treatment outcomes.


• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding communication strategies and therapies.

Requirements

• Valid state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).


• Minimum of a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.


• Strong evaluation and therapeutic skills for speech and swallowing disorders.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work independently in a home care setting.


• Current CPR certification preferred.
