Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, licensed Speech Therapist to join our team! As a Speech Therapist, you will be meeting with new patients, assessing their speech needs, and creating personalized treatment plans to help them reach their goals. You will also be documenting all patient care, observing and participating in treatment, and adjusting goals and milestones as needed for the best possible outcomes. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of speech pathology, is able to provide compassionate care to every patient, and has excellent organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Meet with patients for the first time in their speech journey, answering introductory questions
- Make evaluations and create treatment plans customized for that patient, working with them to set short and long term goals for their speech, language, communication and wellness
- Assist in the implementation of the treatment plan, adjusting as needed to ensure successful outcomes
- Maintaining excellent records of patient needs, care, and outcome
- Work closely with the family of the patients and the patients itself to ensure they have the knowledge and tools they need for success
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress
- SLPA applicants will assist the SLP in providing therapy services
Qualifications
SLP: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, ASHA certification (CCC-SLP), and Alaska state licensure (or eligibility)
SLPA: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field, and Alaska state licensure (or eligibility)
- Passion for helping clients achieve their communication goals
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skill
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong charting and documentation skills
- Familiarity with basic computer programs, such as the Microsoft Office suite

With over 10 years of experience as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), Brianna and her skilled team of therapists provide care to many patients of all ages. Specializing in neurological disorders for both adult and pediatric populations, Brianna’s expertise spans across various settings including hospitals, home health, private practice, schools, nursing homes, consulting, and telehealth. Her broad professional background enables her to deliver specialized, compassionate care to individuals with complex communication and swallowing needs. Brianna earned her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Texas A&M University and her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado Boulder. She is dedicated to advancing the field of speech therapy and positively impacting the lives of her patients and the Fairbanks community.
