Job Description - Speech-Language Pathologists - Nationwide

Speech-Language Pathologist (On-Site, Outpatient/Clinic/Home Health)

Schedule: Monday-Friday preferred; part-time and alternative schedules may be considered
Setting: On-site care with modern, digital tools for documentation and coordination

Role Summary

Provide evidence-based speech and language evaluation and treatment for pediatric and/or adult patients in ambulatory clinics, home health, and partner facility settings. The focus is clinical quality, efficient throughput, and clear patient outcomes, not paperwork.

Core Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive assessments; develop individualized, measurable treatment plans.
  • Deliver direct therapy across speech, language, voice, fluency, cognition, and swallowing, as appropriate to the setting and training.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home programs and progress expectations.
  • Document accurately and on time in the EMR; track goals and functional outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, PT/OT, case managers, and care coordinators.
  • Maintain compliance with payer policies, licensure laws, HIPAA, and organizational protocols.
  • Balance caseload to meet access and productivity targets without compromising care.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Clinical focus first: Streamlined admin and practical tech to reduce friction.
  • Predictable hours: Primarily daytime; limited nights/weekends, if any, based on site needs.
  • Growth path: Mentorship, CE support where available, and exposure to diverse caseloads.
  • Impact: See progress quickly with clear goals and coordinated care plans.

Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted SLP license in the state of practice (good standing).
  • CCC-SLP (ASHA) required.
  • 1+ year of post-CF clinical experience preferred; strong CFs may be considered depending on the setting.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and comfort using telehealth tools when appropriate.
  • Reliable transportation for travel between patient sites or partner facilities, if assigned.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in one or more of the following: dysphagia/FEES or MBS coordination, neuro rehab, voice, AAC, cognitive-communication, or pediatric feeding.
  • Bilingual skills.
  • Knowledge of value-based care metrics and payer documentation standards.

Compensation & Logistics

  • Competitive market pay; W-2 or 1099 options may be available by site.
  • Mileage or visit-based reimbursement, where applicable.
  • Benefits eligibility and CE assistance vary by engagement type and location.

Ready to practice at the top of your license in a setting that respects clinical time? Apply today.
