POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sports and Membership Coordinator to join our team. This role is essential in promoting and managing sports programs and membership services, ensuring a positive experience for all participants and members. The ideal candidate will have a passion for community engagement and a commitment to fostering a healthy and active lifestyle.

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee sports programs for various age groups and skill levels.
  • Coordinate membership services, including enrollment, retention, and member engagement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with staff and volunteers to organize sports events, leagues, and tournaments.
  • Maintain accurate records of program participation and membership statistics.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to members and participants, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Promote sports programs and membership opportunities through marketing and outreach efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in all sports activities.
  • Assist in training and supervising program staff and volunteers.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must be certified in PR/CPR, AED, O2, and First Aid. (Training provided by the Y, if needed)
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One or more years' experience in sales or service-oriented business.
  • Must have experience in various YMCA programs or other programs similar to those the YMCA offers.
  • Must be in good physical working condition and able to perform the functions of the job.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and supervisory skills, multi-task oriented, knowledge in hiring, customer service, sales, marketing, retention, computer skills and human relations.
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
