Sports Flooring Design Coordinator

Description

The Sports Floor Design Coordinator will oversee the development and execution of portable volleyball courts and paint-related projects for Gerflor USA. This role includes assisting with bid proposals, managing project timelines, coordinating materials, and physically contributing to court layout and painting. The coordinator will collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure timely project completion and maintain high-quality standards.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the development of presentations for sales pitches, including the layout and graphic design of portable volleyball courts and other painting-related projects.

2. Convert approved court designs into digital files for stencils, material estimation, and project execution.

3. Collaborate with external paint vendors for color matching and ordering.

4. Manage internal production of project-specific paint stencils to meet project specifications and timelines.

5. Manage external procurement of project specific paint stencils, track shipments, reconcile and inspect products against project specifications.    

6. Hands-on tasks including assisting with court layout, stencil application, and physical court painting.

7. Along with the supervisor, develop and manage calendar of court painting and installation.

8. Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, ensuring the successful coordination of timelines, materials, and resources to meet deadlines.

9. Work with marketing to adapt court designs for promotional materials.

10. Coordinate appropriate packaging and shipment of materials for events as needed.

11. When necessary, assist in the initial installation of portable courts at customer locations, and help in the training of customer staff.

12. Assist with other projects as defined by the Manager of Project Sales 

13. Travel up to 20%, heavier in summer months.

Requirements

1. High school diploma or equivalent. Associates Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field preferred.

1. 2 years of experience in developing and using digital graphic files for production and marketing use.

2. Proficient in graphics platforms (CAD, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Sketchup, Canva, Adobe)

3. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

4. Experience in construction or trades is a plus.

5. Experience with painting graphics or painting processes a plus.

6. Experience with project management software, (Trello, SmartSheets, Microsoft Project) a plus

7. Forklift experience or willingness to be trained. 

8. Excellent editing skills with attention to detail.

9. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

10. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize and meet deadlines.

Base Salary Range: $52,000/annual to $65,000/annual

The base salary for this position may vary based on factors such as location, training, skills, and relevant experience. This position may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, incentive, or commissions. Bonus or incentive programs are subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
