SQL Database Administrator

Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) LLC is seeking a highly motivated Database Administrator to join our team to support our clients. The successful applicant needs to have extensive working knowledge of a wide variety of tasks related to MS SQL administration.

The successful candidate will have an opportunity to apply and grow their skillset, work with a motivated and entrepreneurial team, engage with a wide range of stakeholders and build CGS’ capabilities by serving our clients. 

Job Responsibilities

As a SQL Database Administrator, you will:

• L3 escalation support for MS SQL Server production issues


• SQL Server install, configuration, patching, and upgrades (2016+)


• Performance tuning, query optimization, and root cause analysis


• Support HA/DR solutions (Always On, Clustering, Log Shipping)


• Backup, restore, and disaster recovery support


• Database security, compliance, and operational documentation


• Will be part of a larger Operations Team to support IT Service Management and Cyber tasks 

Required Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship is required.


• Eligible to obtain and maintain Government Security Clearance.


• 8+ years MS SQL Server DBA experience


• Strong T SQL, performance tuning, and HA/DR expertise


• Experience in 24x7 mission critical production environments 

Desired Qualifications:

• Previous Defense Industrial Base experience


• Previous DoD experience


• Experience with CMMC

This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
