Sr. SQL Database Developer

CIMA Systems is a rapidly growing & profitable software, marketing and telecommunications company, located near the BART station in Pleasanton, CA.  We give auto dealerships and other businesses the ability to more consistently and effectively communicate with their customers via customized, automated telephone and email messages as well as other web-based communications.

We are looking for a highly talented SQL Server database developer to manage all aspects of our data architecture.   Our customers are growing and so are we.  We need someone who can help scale our SQL Databases and applications to meet the demand.  We need someone with a strong background in reporting and analytics to work with our front-end developers to provide the best data dashboards and reporting in the industry.

Responsibilities of DB Developer will be:

- Leading technical design decisions and development for database technologies in the company
- Develop custom advanced analytics and data reports
- Data system architecture including schema design and data warehouse implementation
- Be responsible for the development and optimization of TSQL Stored Procedures
- Oversee production database operational support  along with on-call IT services company
- Develop production database monitoring and backup strategy in corporation with on-call IT services company
Qualifications:

 The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

- BS in Computer Science or related degree
- 5+ years of database design and development experience
- Expert MS SQL Server database knowledge
- Knowledge of DB internals; partitioning, indexes, clustering, replication
- Strong knowledge of TSQL
- Extensive background in logical and physical database design principles
- Experience working with large and multi-database systems
- Experience in database administration
- Experience working with complex data analytics and report generation

Experience working with multi-database queries

Experience working with large data loads and imports from multiple sources (XML, CSV, SQL).

Experience with creating and managing data warehouses and creating OLTP and OLAP reports

Experience with ETL and Data Transformation Services.

This is a full-time onsite position.
