Sr Accountant

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

The Senior Accountant provides accounting and cost analytical support to Finance Management.
• Participate in ensuring accurate and timely monthly and yearly financial closes
• Prepare monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and analysis
• Perform cycle counting program, variance analysis, E&O Analysis
• Prepare annual cost reports for Medicaid/Medicare
• Perform other duties/special projects as needed
• Assist with annual external audit

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Business or Accounting preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Previous healthcare experience a plus
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion
• Solid understanding of GAAP
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
