Sr. Accountant - Innovative Company

We are in search of a dedicated Sr. Accountant to join our team in the education industry located in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role involves handling heavy reconciliations, budgeting and reporting, endowment tracking, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and tuition billing management.

Responsibilities:
• Conducting heavy reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records
• Preparing and monitoring the budget, and providing detailed reports on financial matters
• Tracking endowments and ensuring they are properly managed and allocated
• Managing accounts payable and ensuring all payments are made on time
• Overseeing accounts receivable to ensure all payments are received and properly recorded
• Managing tuition billing, ensuring all bills are sent out on time and payments are received and recorded accurately
• Utilizing skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, and Month End Close to perform duties effectively.• Must hold a relevant degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Proven experience as a Sr. Accountant or similar role in the education sector
• Expertise in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Solid knowledge of general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
• Ability to prepare and record journal entries accurately
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to continuous professional development
• Familiarity with accounting software and databases
• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is a plus.
