Sr. Accountant - Tax

Oliver, Rainey & Wojtek, LLP (ORW) is seeking to recruit a positive, energetic, and exceptional Sr. Accountant for the ORW Tax Department.  The role of the Sr. Accountant is to prepare tax returns, complete financial statement audits, reviews, compilations and perform bookkeeping write-up services.

The hours for this full-time position are 8-hour days throughout the year with the exception of February to April. During our busy season, additional hours are needed to meet our client's needs. We allow a flexible work schedule beyond traditional business hours. We make a point to recognize the efforts of our staff during the busy season by awarding additional compensation. During the summer, we close our office on Friday afternoons as another benefit for our staff.

The function of this position is to assist the in-charge Partner or staff members to the greatest extent possible. Examples of responsibilities include: 

• Preparing tax returns


• Researching questions on tax laws and accounting principles


• Assisting in tax planning 


• Independently managing individual workflow 


• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

• 2-3 years of tax or accounting experience 


• Accounting degree, or other related degree


• CPA certification, or pursuing CPA certification


• Strong written and verbal communication skills,


• time management skills,


• the ability to be a team player.
