Position Title: Senior Accountant/Controller

Position Location: This position is hybrid (1-2 days onsite in Rockville, MD)

Daily Responsibilities:                                 

• Analyze program costs and ensure compliance with the contract terms and conditions
• Confirm proper invoicing and posting of income
• Prepare rate verifications for financial closeout documentation, and verify all final contractual documentation has been provided
• Act as a liaison with key stakeholders
• Prepare special invoices and provide financial backup as necessary for a subset of agreements
• Additional duties such as status tracking and maintaining a closeout listing; identifying, implementing, and streamlining process improvements; and writing/updating internal standard operating procedures
• Ad-hoc exercises as they arise

 Required Degree:           

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or a related field

Required Experience:                                  

• Strong Excel skills and experience
• Proficient knowledge of government contracting
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and written
• Strong problem solving, analytical, and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to change in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work independently

Preferred Experience:

• Basic knowledge of Word, Power Point, and Outlook
• 3+ years of experience in commercial Enterprise Resource Planning system
• Deltek Costpoint skills/experience strongly preferred
• An active government security clearance
