Job Description - Sr Analyst, Internal Controls

We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. It involves evaluating and recommending alternative solutions, conducting assessments, and engaging in continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nJob Description:\n\nEssential Responsibilities: \n\n * Collaborate with internal teams to influence the quality and effectiveness of internal control processes.\n * Evaluate and recommend alternative solutions to improve internal control systems.\n * May act as a subject matter resource for entry level and developing colleagues\n * Conduct assessments of internal control effectiveness and compliance.\n * Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance internal control practices.\n\n\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n * 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor\u2019s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.\n\n\n\nAdditional Responsibilities \u0026 Preferred Qualifications:\n\nPartner closely with Servicing Experience business leaders and our Second Line of Defense (SLOD) partners to identify and assess risks pertaining to the business. Your insights from risk assessments will form the basis for risk response strategies and prioritization, guiding risk mitigation activities and monitoring efforts.\n\nYour day to day\n\n * Evaluating the inherent risks associated with Service Experience processes.\n\n * Identifying and assessing corresponding controls to determine the strength of the control environment.\n\n * Analyzing the need for additional controls and evaluating residual risks.\n\n * Analyzing key risk metrics for Service Experience, extracting valuable insights from dashboards and reporting tools to support decision-making processes and drive risk mitigation strategies.\n\n * Articulating and presenting escalated risks to management, providing clear assertions on risk exposure and highlighting potential impacts on Service Experience operations and objectives.\n\n * Developing and maintaining comprehensive inventories of risks and controls to facilitate effective risk management and control optimization.\n\n * Identifying control gaps resulting from new regulatory requirements and product changes across Service Experience, proactively addressing potential risks and ensuring compliance with evolving regulations.\n\n * Maintaining accurate and up-to-date data in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools for areas under responsibility, ensuring transparency and efficiency in risk management processes.\n\n * Maintain strong understanding of key risk management principles and PayPal products and services within area of responsibility.\n\n\n\n\nWhat do you need to bring\n\n * Risk, Compliance, banking, process management, or similar experience.\n\n * Experience in process mapping and documentation.\n\n * Experience in managing risks, controls, and/or compliance obligations, preferably in the financial industry including managing or supporting any of the following:\n\n * The identification, assessment, control, and response to risks;\n\n * Execution of risk response plans, including the development, prioritization, and communication of;\n\n * Driving adherence to risk and compliance policies and procedures;\n\n * Monitoring key risks and identifying emerging risks; and\n\n * Navigating within a three lines of defense model to address risk matters.\n\n * Experience in control and/or process design\n\n * Track record of driving action to support business results\n\n * Possess the credibility and reputation to achieve effective working relationships with senior leaders across a matrixed organization\n\n * Ability to provide risk knowledge through a practical, business lens\n\n * Explains information to others in straightforward situations, which includes some sensitive information\n\n * Ability to understand the nuance and risk interaction between product, jurisdiction, and function\n\n * Demonstrates strong and effective collaboration skills and ability to operate comfortably within a complex cultural, global environment.\n\n * Confidently and effectively solves low/moderate complexity problems without additional support. Consults with leadership on more complex problems by gathering facts and providing recommendations on the best solution\n\n * Strong project management skills\n\n * Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines\n\n * Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, manage projects and drive/achieve results\n\n\n\n\nSubsidiary:\n\nPayPal\n\nTravel Percent:\n\n0\n\n-\n\nThe base pay for this role will depend on where you work and the relevant experience and expertise you bring.
