Job Description - Sr. Application Engineer (Data Warehouse)

Are you someone who loves digging into data, making sure everything is spot on, and helping systems run smoothly? If you said "yes," then read on! A leading company is on the lookout for a talented Senior Application Engineer, specializing in Data Warehouses, to join the team.

This job is all about taking big sets of health data, checking it carefully, and making sure it fits perfectly into a special data storage system. You'll be the go-to person for making sure all the data plays nice together, and when it doesn't, you'll figure out how to fix it. Plus, you'll get to work with a team to make rules that help everyone use data better and keep it safe.

Here's a peek at what you'll be doing:

- Team up with some smart folks to make and follow rules that help keep data clean and safe.

- Find and fix any mistakes in the data, making sure everything is accurate and matches up.

- Write clear guides on how data moves around and how to keep it looking good.

- Keep an eye on the data to catch any issues before they become big problems, using some cool tools to help you out.

- Work closely with teams that focus on keeping data safe, making sure only the right people can see it.

- Solve tricky puzzles when data doesn't look right, working together with other data experts.

- Teach people about how to work with data the right way, spreading the love for data across the company.

- Always be on the lookout for new ways to make things better, staying up-to-date with the latest in data tech.

Requirements

To land this gig, you'll need a Master's Degree in something like Computer Science or Engineering, plus at least two years of experience with:

- Writing code in Python and PowerShell to check data quality.

- Cleaning up health data and making data flow smoothly, using Python to see how well things are working.

- Changing HL7 messages with tools like SSMS/SSIS/SSRS in databases like Cassandra, Kafka, and MongoDB.
