Accountabilities
- Develop and implement financial strategies with the Controller.
- Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure compliance with GAAP.
- Lead the month-end closing process and prepare financial statements.
- Assist in coordination of annual financial and regulatory audits.
- Update accounting policies for effective internal controls.
- Lead and mentor a team of financial professionals.
Requirements
- 7+ years of accounting experience.
- 5 recent years in government contracting.
- 3 years of managerial experience or as an Accounting Manager.
- Proficiency with Unanet ERP; implementation experience is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated with great task management abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
