We are seeking a motivated Process Integration Engineer to join our BEOL (Back-End-Of-Line) team within DRAM Research \u0026 Development. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career engineers who are eager to develop deep expertise in semiconductor process integration, metallization, and interconnect technologies.\n\nYou will work alongside experienced integration engineers to develop, optimize, and transfer advanced DRAM BEOL process flows. Strong fundamentals in materials science, electrical engineering, or a related discipline are essential. Prior semiconductor experience is valued but not required \u2014 we invest in developing our engineers.\n\n## Responsibilities\n\n * Support BEOL process flow development, optimization, and integration for advanced DRAM technologies.\n\n * Assist in troubleshooting integration issues across multiple process modules (metallization, dielectrics, etch, CMP).\n\n * Collect, analyze, and interpret process and electrical data to drive yield improvement and reliability enhancement.\n\n * Collaborate with cross-functional teams (module engineers, device engineers, reliability, manufacturing) to resolve technical challenges.\n\n * Participate in technology transfer activities from R\u0026D to pilot production.\n\n * Document findings and present results to peers and leadership.\n\n * Learn and apply statistical analysis tools and methodologies (JMP, Python, R, or equivalent).\n\n * Support pathfinding efforts for next-generation BEOL architectures and materials.\n\n\n\n\n## \n\n## Minimum Qualifications:\n\n * MS/PhD (preferred)/BS (required) in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Microelectronics, Physics, Chemistry, or related field along with coursework or research in thin films, interconnect technology, or nanofabrication.\n\n * Foundational understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes (thin film deposition, etch, lithography, CMP).\n\n * Familiarity with BEOL concepts: metallization, interconnects, dielectrics, barrier/liner films.\n\n * Hands-on experience with deposition techniques (CVD, ALD, PVD) or etch processes.\n\n * Exposure to DRAM or memory device technology paired with experience with process integration, yield improvement, or reliability testing.\n\n\n\n\n## \n\n## Preferred Qualifications\n\n * Internship or co-op experience in a semiconductor fab or R\u0026D environment.\n\n * Willingness to learn, adapt, and work in a fast-paced R\u0026D environment paired with proficiency in statistical analysis tools: AI tool such as Claude Code\u2026etc\n\n * Familiarity with characterization techniques: SEM, TEM, XRD, electrical testing.\n\n * Experience with DOE (Design of Experiments) methodology.\n\n * Knowledge of semiconductor reliability concepts (electromigration, TDDB, stress migration).\n\n\n\n\n## \n\nJob Profile(s):\n\nSemiconductor Process Engineer 3 - Semiconductor Process Engineer 4\n\nRelocation Level: TBD\n\nBefore Getting Started \nPlease review Micron\u2019s Internal Job Application Policy on your regional PeopleNow Career Opportunities page before searching and applying for jobs.
