- 5+ years of professional or military experience

We are seeking an extremely talented Senior Business Development Manager who will be responsible for generating, managing, and executing strategic partnerships with service providers. This team member will nurture existing partnerships and play an important role in shaping the Amazon Business service expansion strategy in the Americas.

Key Strategic Objectives
The successful candidate has experience conducting industry research, delivering insightful analysis, leading contract negotiations, and building both internal and external relationships. They will have the ability to influence executive decision makers, drive consensus within cross-functional teams including Sales, Product, Business Development, Finance, Marketing, and Legal.

Our team is focused on building solutions to enable large enterprise B2B customers to research, discover and buy business, industrial and scientific products in large catalogs; across multiple devices, marketplaces and regions. Our customers include individual professionals, businesses and institutions that buy in either high frequency or in bulk quantities. Our customers have different needs than the traditional Amazon customer base.

You will be part of a team that is responsible for all aspects of the customer experience - from the visual interface to the back end services. You will be working with new technologies that improve usability and increase performance and scalability. You will help redefine normal for this segment of the market. You will help translate business requirements to technical deliverables and deliver operationally stable solution that provide good customer experience.

This role can be located out of any of the Amazon Business locations in the United States, which include Austin TX, Boston MA, Arlington VA, Tempe AZ and Seattle WA

Key job responsibilities
• Conduct industry research and deliver build/buy/partner recommendations to the leadership team
• Identify appropriate opportunities that support strategic priorities through interaction with senior business leaders, service providers, and organic pipeline generation
• Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate and drive internal thinking on expansion opportunities
• Build the business case to justify potential strategic partnerships and corporate transactions
• Understand the technical requirements of our customers and work closely with the internal development team to guide the direction of our product offerings and joint partner solutions.
• Work with cross-functional groups across Amazon Business to execute on the relationships from contract to proper integration
• Lead strategic partnership negotiations with large organizations and recruit into program
• Build strong relationships with internal Amazon partners through clear articulation of the business value proposition, looking for opportunities to act as a force multiplier in delivery experience as well as logistics and supply chain

- Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units
- Experience working with technical and product stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize features, and influence product roadmaps

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $213,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
